This spring, I was honored to work with my son’s teacher, Ms. Jamie Davidson, and his 3rd Grade class. First, I read them the Amputeddy books, and later, thanks to their inspiration, I wrote a new book!
We were all so excited about the book that we decided the class should illustrate a special edition of the book. This is our work together. They chose the title and each child illustrated a page of the book.
This was a wonderful project and a beautiful experience for all of us and I hope you will download and read my book with their fantastic art! Don’t forget to read our special message to all amputees. We took special care to write it from the bottom of our hearts.

I have just released my current edit of Wilding for a very limited time on Kindle for the Amazon Storyteller Writing Competition 2017! Yes, I plan to continue to seek a Literary Agent for this work, and I will remove it as soon as the contest is decided.
Dellcine cannot submit and become an obedient human. She lives in torment, consumed with bitterness toward her alien masters. The trans-dimensional beings called the ShaZha claim to rule Earth in order to rehabilitate humanity, but she can’t sympathize with their cause.
Her rebellion provides no relief until one day she hears the rumors of a human who knows of the world outside the Prodigy community. This discovery spurs Dellcine to form a daring escape plan. Can she liberate herself from her stifling existence, and will the world outside give her everything she hoped for?
If you loved The Disenchanted Pet and wanted to know more about the ShaZha universe, you’ll love Wilding. Be sure to purchase before the contest period ends!
If you haven’t read The Disenchanted Pet, I’ve made it FREE all this weekend!
Do you love the arts? Do you think that artists should be paid for their work and that work makes our society beautiful and worth living in? I sure do! (Or else I wouldn’t write.) Well, I just found a site to help artists of all kinds find people who value them and will support their work: Patreon!
Do you love my writing? If you do, become my patron! For just $1 or $3 a month (or more if you rock) you can be just like Lorenzo Di Medici and help artists create. The hairdo is optional.
Just click this button! (Or look to the right and click on Lorenzo in the sidebar.)
If you are an artist, poet, musician, or writer, or whatever art form you love, create your own page!

It’s been a while during my hard work on Wilding (which you won’t see right away because I am looking to publish it through traditional channels), but finally I have released a new book! This is a short story with a fun twist – it is a choose-your-own-adventure style book for adults! Yes, you can click through the ebook to reach the next part of the tale. It’s also a 99 cent title and a Kindle Select book, so you may get it for free!
Mesha and her brothers attend the Grand Festival of Duman to see the greatest spectacle in the land of Sas against their Father’s wishes. Mesha’s people don’t worship Duman and consider his believers to be reprobates. Her sneaky brothers brought her along rather than give up their fun, and she didn’t object.
In the Queen’s Courtyard, everyone expected that the ceremonial dove the queen released would choose a sacrifice. But it should have landed on an object, not a person! The bird lands on Mesha, choosing her as a sacrifice to Duman.
What will Mesha do? Will she die for a god she doesn’t believe in? Can she cling to her beliefs in the face of death and all the decadence of the palace?

I’ve done a deep edit on The Disenchanted Pet and another pass with Kathleen, my editor. If you’ve purchased the Kindle file, it should automatically upload the new version. If you purchased the paperback, you now have a limited edition!
The print book gets an upgrade next!
The last time I checked, Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park, WA still has some copies of the old book with the old (award-winningly ugly) cover. If you like limited editions, this is your chance to get one.
If you don’t have it, you’re missing one of my most popular books.

While many of you gorgeous babies plunge into National Novel Writing Month, I will embark on my own “National Novel Finishing Month”! The Stray remains open on my task bar for (mostly) daily work. I’m not sure if I can finish this month but I definitely hope to complete it before the year ends.
Also, The Disenchanted Pet sits on metaphorical blocks for an overhaul! My darling first book deserves the touch of all the knowledge I have learned over these two years since its publication. It feels fitting to work on the series books together, and I find I discover many insights to share between them.
Sorry to say it, but The Stray will not appear on Kindle as soon as I finish it. I will be searching for a most excellent literary agent to help me take the book to traditional publishers. If you know somebody or are somebody, give me a holler!
You can buy The Disenchanted Pet on audiobook! Patricia Santomasso has done a beautiful job narrating my book. I loved hearing it and you can love hearing it too!

Did I scare you?
I’ve been working on cover designs to update Don’t Judge a Book By Its Magic. This is the winner of this round. What do you think? Any suggestions?
Is it an improvement over the original cover? (I love this cover but I’m told it looks too Middle Grade instead of New Adult)
ACX.com now has the audiobook for The Silver Collar under review! In just a few days, you can purchase and hear Sherill Turner‘s fantastic reading of my tale. Keep an eye out because you know I will post just as soon as you can get it.
In celebration, I’ve created a video trailer for The Silver Collar. I hope you like it!
