Fantastic tattoos from the web

I don’t have any tattoos. There are several factors why I never went down that road. But they still fascinate me and I think they look fabulous on the people who love them enough to commit to them so totally. The tattoos below exemplify the term “fantastic” both in their amazing artistry and how much they capture the imagination. Not only are they works of art that transform the wearer, but they have become part of them for life.

Real, fantastic places

Sometimes lovers of fantasy can find inspiration in real places. Here are some amazing, real places that could easily come right out of our favorite fantasy novels:

  • The Crooked Forest is located right outside of Nowe Czarnowo, West Pomerania, Poland. The grove contains approximately 400 pine trees with bent trunks. They were planted sometime in 1939, but why or who made them crooked is unknown. 

  • Skaftafell’s blend of highland plateau, summer meadows and ice-blue glaciers are best explored by hiking, biking or climbing.

  • Jökulsárlón is a large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, on the borders of Vatnajökull National Park.

  • The Jeita Grotto in Lebanon

  • The jungle creeps back into the Temples of Angkor

 

  • Sedona, Arizona, a town surrounded by amazing natural red rock formations. (I’ve been here and it is way more impressive in person.)

Don’t be afraid! Immerse yourself in the emotions of another. Make them your own, just for a little while. I promise they won’t take you over.
Don’t be afraid!
Nobody will judge you here in these pages for being too susceptible, too emotional, too gullible. If you can’t feel it, you can’t be swept up in the magic. You can’t become someone else.
Don’t be afraid!
When it’s over, you can go back to your life, your limits, your reality. But for now, let go. Let me take you on a journey of amazement using only letters and punctuation. I’ll bring you back safe, and if you want, nobody has to know you were ever between these pages.
