Are you ready for another review? Tima’s review is live now. Thank you Tima for the review!
Please visit Tima’s review here: http://bloodgifted.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/a-fellow-writers-release-party-kate.html
For the last seventeen years Tima taught English and History in a high school in southern Sydney. Before taking up teaching she was a practicing archaeologist, working on several digs around the world.
Two years ago she resigned teaching and surrendered to the itch of writing. After many years of reading and correcting students’ creative writing tasks and essays, she decided it was time to write her own.

The 2012 ebook by Sabrina Ricci is an experiment in agile publishing. This new and exciting approach to writing shrugs off the regular finish-edit-publish process and pushes the writing out to the reader as it is being written. Through feedback and comments, readers can affect what the writer writes and help shape the story into a collaborative work.
Sabrina’s story revolves around two plot lines–one follows Mahaway and her best friend Yochi, around 900 A.D. in Calakamul, Mexico. Their city is conquered by a king, and the two friends discover a secret that could destroy his dynasty. The other follows Amara and her roommate Cayden in present day. Amara is a college student researching and writing a feature story to debunk all the Mayan Calendar myth. Her research garners the attention of a secret group sworn to uphold a certain Maya prophecy, and they go on the hunt for her. The story unfolds on Sabrina’s blog, the2012ebook.com , and using agile publishing she is incorporating comments and private feedback into the storyline as she goes. The result will be a story everyone can enjoy!

Sharon was born and raised in New England but now lives in North Carolina. She’s a sports loving, book reading, picture taking, sing and dance to her own beat kind of gal who is owned by a flock of birds.
Editor feature:
Kathleen is the illustrious editor of Don’t Judge a Book By Its Magic as well as The Lustre. God willing, she’ll be the editor of many more of my books! Kathleen is a funny and clever gal who I met here in Seattle, but who has since moved to California and then Las Vegas. It’s a good thing she’s flexible! That benefited my writing this time too, because I tried a completely new style for me. She did a fantastic job and I really appreciate all her hard work.
Kathleen has been editing for more than 8 years and earned a University of Washington Extension Editing Certificate in 2009. She has written and edited accreditation documents and manuals, and edited content for workandworship.com and the Mars Hill Ballard blog. She has beautified writing of all kinds from term papers, resumes, a policy and procedure manual to the parenting book Inspiring Childhood, Inspiring Life in addition to her fabulous work on The Lustre and Don’t Judge a Book By Its Magic.
Her thoughts on her career: “I like to edit all kinds of writing, from instruction manuals to novels. I love that I learn a little bit about a wide variety of subjects, such as education, theology, sociology, the medical industry, parenting, mythical creatures, etc. (This is one of the best things about being a freelancer…I know a little about a lot, haha!)”
Kathleen enjoys reading, traveling, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with friends and family. She lives with her husband and two children in Newport Beach, California. (I can also always get her to forward snarky photos on Facebook about grammar and the English language!)

A review by the Bookworm Extraordinaire: http://www.thebookwormextraordinare.blogspot.com/2012/09/review-dont-judge-book-by-its-magic-by.html
I’m a normal girl. I am. I love shoes, fragranced body care, and hair products. I love all the chick flicks that have come out in the theaters in the last 2 years (and a lot of the old ones) and I obsess about my wardrobe. I respond positively to most of the marketing directed at females in my age group.
My name is Colleen Underhill, and the only abnormal thing about me is that I just discovered I am, or I transformed into, a magician; not the disappearing bunny kind, but the power-shooting-out-of-your-hands kind of magician.
My problem now is that I do NOT believe in magic. Well, I believe in it. I have seen it shoot out of my own hands, but I oppose it in a moral sense; no hexes, no spells, no incantations, no potions, no amulets, no tomes, no casting circles, no eye of newt, none of that. I have to be very clear because people pressure me about it. Whatever they say about “how it’s done,” this is a morality issue for me and I will not cave in to their pressure.
But what do I do now?
Don’t Judge a Book By Its Magic on Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16045564-don-t-judge-a-book-by-its-magic

I’d be a terrible zombie because I wouldn’t get any juicy brains, just books.
Yes, I have another book forming! This is the second book in The Convergence series. Yes, I haven’t even released the first book, Don’t Judge a Book By Its Magic, but I’ve started the second! It’s called, “Sorcery Loves Company“.
The question now is, which book will I finish first: Sorcery Loves Company or The Stray? It’s really a toss-up because it will depend on which inspires me first.
Hey! If you reply to this post with your guess as to which I finish first and you’re right, I’ll send you a free print copy when it’s released!
